Anyone noticed this yet?
I asked also, but still unable to find where they are
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Scaler Music\Scaler 3\Sounds
Thanks Miki.
I guess they can’t be moved unless/until there is an (update) option in the interface to point right?
You are welcome.
I suppose they are there to stay, although it is not good for me. I save all my plugins on a
dedicated external SSD
Same. I need C Drive clean as possible. Be surprised if they stay in place.
I notice there is no “SETS” folder where old session presets where kept in S2.
Might you happen to know where “Preset” folder is too?
Unfortunatelly, I have no idea where the presets are. I tried In c:\Program files and around the folder with sound, but found nothing.
Cool, I forgot that folder
OK, I deleted almost all and kept only a few to test
Thats a pity. I cannot find anyting there either and no idea how to xfer them.
On a Mac, Scaler 3 puts Sounds, Cache, and the User Guide into the /Users/Shared/Scaler Music/Scaler 3/ directory.
I forgot where Scaler 2 instruments were.
Search for SuperSaw-A1.flac in Windows Explore, maybe you’ll find something. Then, just copy the entire folder Sounds to the new location.
After going through all the usual locations, I finally found the presets:
C:\ProgramData\Scaler Music\Scaler 3\Presets
Thank you!!! I was going nuts.
I solved that problem on my laptop by using symbolic links. It’s a functionally that I first started using on UNIX systems, and has been part of Windows functionality since the launch of Windows NT. Still it’s not widely known by regular Windows users.

Hi all
The ability to install or move Scaler 3’s internal sounds and content to a directory of your choice is planned for a future update.
Cheers.
One feature I really miss from Scaler 2 is the ability to set a custom content folder. This was very useful for managing space and keeping plugin data on external drives.
Would it be possible to restore this option in a future update? It would help many users with flexible setups.
Thanks for considering!
