Previous Next buttons don't work after closing interface [fixed in Scaler 3.2]

Some of the previous and next arrows and menu selection do not work after the intial selection is made and the Scaler interface is closed and reopened. They get completely forgotten in a couple parts of the interface (if not many more, I haven’t had time to document all the broken small things, but there are many :/). Happens in Sonar, Studio One, Maschine, and probably many other hosts and super easy to reproduce.

For an example of the problem, browse scales by genre and make a selection. I picked 80s for this example. Once selected on something, say 80s 1, you can use GUI arrow keys next to the selected scale name (tooltip says field is called Name of Selected Chord Set) for previous and next to go from say 80s 1 to 80s 2, etc. Once Scaler interface is closed, and then reopened, these arrows do not work and the menu is no longer set to 80s, with the current selection highlighted. The name is still there and the selection still loaded, but the controls and place in the menu are lost.

There are a lot of small and very annoying bugs like this and I hope your quality team can go through the interface carefully and find them rather than letting users do it.

I credit the team stability is getting better, but the GUI still needs some detailed testing and fixing on the basic controls.

Thanks for listening.

Thanks @storm303. I believe the issue here is that Scaler’s browse page is reverting to the default ‘all scales’ view after closing/reopening the plugin window, rather than showing the category of your selected chord set, which is preventing the previous/next arrows from working. We have added lodged this to be addressed in the next update.

I’m also having trouble with the two forward/backward buttons (see red arrow). I’d been going through the bass presets. But the display wouldn’t update until I pressed the green arrow to turn on/off. When I tried it in a fresh, empty Cubase project, it worked properly again. The problem only seems to occur in certain situations.

Hi @storm303, this issue has been fixed in Scaler 3.2.

@Leander, the issue you reported was fixed in Scaler 3.1.1.

Download the 3.2 installers from Plugin Boutique (under My Account) or from Scaler Music (under My Products).

You can check out the complete changelog and a video covering the new features here.

Cheers.
