Scaler newb here, can’t seem to route Scaler MIDI internally in Reaper (from Scaler track 1 to Diva track 2, for instance), or even when Scaler and Diva are on the same track.
Easy enough with other apps, like Stepic, but Scaler doesn’t seem to be outputting MIDI at all. Only options for output device in the Arrange page are DAW, my MIDI keyboard, and a M’soft wavetable synth(?).
Pretty sure in’s operator error, but I can’t seem to see what. Please, any suggestions?
Hi @seawind161 welcome to the forum. You may like to look through the Scaler 3 MIDI Output DAW routing guide located on the Documents and Resources forum page, which includes instructions for MIDI routing within Reaper.
Note that the guide was created prior to the MIDI output device options being added to the arrange page in Scaler 3. So for MIDI routing within Reaper, just keep the MIDI output device set to DAW.
Hi @Tristan, thanks for the kind reply. I finally realized that for whatever reason the VST3i plugin wasn’t installed on my machine, only the VST, probably through user error in installation. Once I reinstalled all was well in MusicLand. I’m finding Scaler 3 much more approachable than Scaler 2- enjoying it immensely!
