Midi Editor: Switch between MIDI Input and Output view

Hi developers!

This is actually a feature request for when we’ll have the added functionality of recording our own phrases in the arranger tracks.

In the Midi Editor, it would be nice to be able to switch the views between the (recorded) Input midi and output midi data.
It would be more efficient to quantize/edit the input MIDI data (especially when 1 note triggers a chord).

This is how I’m currently using Scaler (2) in my DAW CakeWalk
The reason that I’m using CakeWalk is because it enables me to trigger a selected track as opposed to 1st manually having to midi route to a specific track. So on Scaler 2’s track I actually use multiple “take lanes” to record, quantize, and edit the midi input data. Then I select the target track to record Scaler’s midi output (and even later on just freeze the track to then work with that same track as audio data for mix/mastering)

Scaler 3’s built-in arranger tracks are actually a better workflow. But as of yet, we’re still missing the feature to record our own custom phrases per track. So for when this feature is added.
Being able to switch between viewing the MIDI in and output data would be super efficient for MIDI editing/quantizing. Then we could just use the multi-output arranger tracks to trigger the vst’s in your DAW’s tracks.
Something tells me that that’s the end game (goals) for Scaler, the ultimate midi-composer tool for your DAW of choice.

And for me personally, I would then be able to make the switch to Studio-ONE.
Like I mentioned earlier the only reason that I’m using CakeWalk is purely for the convenience of not having to manually midi route to a specific track.
