Is it possible to jam in Scaler 3 like in Scaler 2? I mean, it had a nice one tab where you can do 8 different parts and 8 chords per part, as I recall. Is it possible to jump to different parts of a different song in Scaler 3?
You could try with two instancesof Scaler 3 as I did in this video. This was a video for a KeysLock bug that was fixed in the meantime, but everything until 2:20 is as I describe below.
Essentially, you have a track with one instance of Scaler 3, including Main Track and other tracks (bass, strumming, whatever). Section B has the selected or detected scale.
Copy either a complete track or add an empty track to your DAW but copy the first instance to the second track (this is what I did - I dragged & dropped Scaler 3 ).
In the second instance, keep only scale in section B, and delete main track and the rest on arranger page.
Select KeyLock option as you wish I I used white keys only).
Arm the second track. Assure that Sync With DAW in both instances is ON.
Press Play in DAW. The first instance will play Main track, bass, etc. and you can solo (your second instance will allow you this).
If you want, you can record the second track with solo by using Record instead of Play.
NOTE: Do not arm the first track.
Another thought.
Instead of playing with main track, you could maybe try arm the first instance too, bind the section B with scale and play just chords on it. I didn’t try. This would allow you to use one instrument for chords and a different one for solo.
