I’m encountering an issue when using Scaler within Cubase on Windows 11. After selecting the scale G Major (which appears second in the scale list in Section B), the selection does not persist. Upon closing and reopening Scaler, it consistently defaults back to the first item in the scale list—Mixolydian—instead of retaining the previously selected G Major scale.
Please refer to the video below for a demonstration of this behavior.
As a temporary workaround, I’ve found that enabling “Lock Chord Set to Current Scale” in Section A helps retain the intended scale selection.
That prolly because you have detected some material and detection mode is updating the scale. Hit the Record button and note if you have detected chords there.
If you open a new session of Scaler 3 you should see that is not the expected behaviour.
I have not used detection mode at all, so this isn’t the issue.
I tried as you suggested by Hitting Record to see if I have any detected chords, and there none.
I actually deleted the Scale VST / Cubase Track, and whilst it behaved as expected to start with it is now demonstrating the issue again. I would also like to note I am experiencing another strange issue, which I think is related. The issue described in the thread below happens at the same time as the issue described in this thread.
