How to: Midi takes using S3 keys lock and bound chord changes?

I’m having an imbecility moment because I can’t figure out how to do a thing in Logic Pro I’ve done before. I have a 10-chord progression. With Keys Lock set for Chord Notes: 1. I want scaler to listen to a midi region that scores the black keys to change the bound chords of my progression. 2. Meanwhile, I record myself playing midi keyboard. As I doodle on the keyboard, Scaler remaps the keyboard with each change of the bound chord and the remapped notes get recorded on the midi track. I get a new take every loop. For some reason I can’t figure out the routing. What am I forgetting?

As an aside: I see some people loving S3. some struggling. I’m highly inexpert and I want to toss a note to other newbs and inexperts worrying about whether Scaler is too challenging. With Scaler I’m writing the progressions I like to hear–modal borrowing, suspensions, voice leading–and I’m doing it at a level WAY above my trifling level of skill and education. With Keys Lock I comp with abandon, and with every take the proceedings get less random as I listen to myself close in on the keeper passages that always come. Onward.
