Took me a good 5 minutes to find the key of C#m having to scroll through hundreds of options. Is there an easier way if I already know the key I want? Would love to be able to just type it in, but can’t figure out how to do it. Thank you, Gordon
uh,
I just saw this filter input box, works only with exact match “C#/Db Minor”
a “C# minor” does not find it …
anyway…
Nice observation. I think the search should allow partial match across multiple entries such as “C# minor”, “A# phrygian” which produce no results if no notes are selected in the keyboard filter. Note that “Bb Phrygian” will show up.
I guess a workaround is to combine the use of the keyboard filter by selecting one note as the key, and then typing in the rest in the text box such as “ultra” but keeping in mind that adding extra text which does not produce an exact match, such as “Ultra phrygian” will again produce no results, because the the list of scale names include the word “Ultraphrygian” and none contain both “Ultra” and “Phrygian” separately in the same scale name, if that makes sense.
Oh, bless you! So easy, yet…I don’t think the “all scales” option was ever visible until I scrolled up to find it. And of course, none of the tutorials I’ve watched pointed this out.
