I have a lot…and I mean A LOT of fantastic chord sets which I bought and collected over the years with Scaler 2. Are you saying that I won´t be able to use them in Scaler 3? (Not even if I grab them from my external hard drive without passing Scaler 2?) This is what my whole workflow circles around…!!!
If this is the case, where can we all find new chord sets suited for Scaler 3 (RnB, Soul, Urban, Jazz)…This far I haven´t seen it anywhere.
Can we expect to see a fix for this problem in the near future. I think this it is a “major one” for A LOT of users.
Chord sets from Scaler 2 work fine in Scaler 3, however it can be a bit challenging to understand where they go.
On the PC, you need to put your chord sets in the following directory:
C:\ProgramData\Scaler Music\Scaler 3\ChordSets
ProgramData is hidden by default, you will need to ensure it is visible in File Explorer by enabling “Show:Hidden Items” under the view menu.
If you are on a Mac, the folder you need to put your chord sets in is in the User Library. This is also hidden by default - to go into it you need to Option-click the Go menu in the finder, and then click on Library in the list that drop down. The ChordSets folder is then inside Scaler Music/Scaler 3 in the User Library.
Hope that gets you sorted, yell out if you have any trouble. Also, in future it might be better to put any issues you have in the Scaler 3 Support category in the forum.
