Hi, my first post here - I’ve done my best to search or answers here and elsewhere but have found the sheer number of posts overwhelming.
I’ve just got Scaler 3 and have been working my way through the video course. Module 1-1 is the detect audio feature. I simply can’t get audio detect to work. I do exactly as described in the video (except I’m using Logic Pro) and Scaler 3 does nothing. I add Scaler 3 Audio plug-in to the audio track, which has audio on it (I’ve tried many many different audio files), I select Audio Detect - the red dot flashes, the audio plays, but nothing is detected.
I’ve fallen at the first hurdle! Grateful for advice.
Just to add - tried with Scaler 2 (same track, audio etc - just swapped S3 for S2 and back again) and it works exactly as expected. Scaler 3 is not detecting?
Hi @ChrisHawkins. Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum. You’re right – audio detection isn’t currently working on macOS, either in the Scaler 3 Audio plugin (on audio tracks) or the virtual instrument version when routing audio into it. We believe this issue was introduced in the 1.0.6 update. We’ve logged it as a known issue and it’ll be fixed in the 3.1 update, which is expected next week. Cheers.
