Are Sketchpad Lanes Limited to 8 Chords, And…

Been messing around with Sketch on the Create Page. I have one big question I can’t quite solve on my own: Are you limited to 8 chords in each lane?

This is really two questions:

  1. Does Sketch limit you to 8 chords per lane?
  2. Does Sketch limit you to 8 bars per lane?

I know that your ability to experiment with chord lengths and composition lengths on the Main Track is pretty much unlimited. But I can’t figure out Sketch. I had an 8-bar song section with 16 chords in it (2 beats each per measure) and every time I tried to bring it into Sketch (directly or by dragging) it gave me only the first 8 chords.

Correct on both Qs, there are several reasons we have done this. Mainly we eventually want to have mapped profiles for controllers for our live performers. ATM they can use the 8x8 grid to jam and life perform with different motions on each.

Thanks, Davide. That could help explain why I was getting crashes in Sketch.
