The absence of this feature has been something of a blocker for me.
I would love to use the main track to guide the other in harmony. I can disable the main track using midi channel → None. However, this also removes the ability to play in performance mode, as all user input is directed to midi channel None as well (copying the main track).
I need some way to disable the main track’s chord playing while keeping the ability to play notes myself. The simplest way might be to hav a ‘play scale’ toggle, similar to how other tracks have a “play mode” dropdown where you can select to have the chords play or not.
Another solution might be to detach the playing notes altogether, and always route input MIDI to whatever channel they came from. This might be a more versatile solution.
I’m open to other suggestions, perhaps I’m missing the feature already existing 
Otherwise, I’m eagerly awaiting this be added. Like I said, not having the ability to detach my playing from the chords of the main track is something of a blocker for my workflow.
