Has anybody been able to use Logic Pro’s rhythm / drums along with a Scaler song?
I want to create backing tracks for practicing electric & upright bass. Logic Pro / GarageBand’s instrument loops and auto-drummers are excellent for this. Scaler would be even better, of course. But since Scaler can only provide the non-drums instruments (?) I’m wondering how practical it’d be to pair it with the Apple auto-drummers.
Hey @dogweather Welcome to the forum. Logic’s Drummer works well alongside Scaler 3. As do there synth and piano player. Just run them within logic whilst also hosting Scaler 3 in DAW sync mode. I do this all the time. Does that make sense?
I can add that my UJAM drummers must be driven by some “rhythm” (given by Scaler or other tools)
if you try to drive it with single chords, the drummer outputs one hit only, and then stops waiting for the next chord; It doesn’t output the whole pattern, even if the plugin has a Lock pattern option
I suspect it may apply to any drumming plugins, so likely (but unsure) GarageBand’s drummer
