The Rite Of Spring Scale? 20th c. scales not represented in S2..any chance for S3?

First post…hello

I can see it’s been requested in the past, but please can the Octatonic scale be included in Scaler 3?
I’m a new user for version 3 and have been browsing this forum in advance and it seems there are a few really important scales missing… like the whole-tone as well.

That’s a huge chunk of 20th century music omitted by not having at least these two!

Hi @pinki welcome to the forum. Thanks for the suggestions. I completely agree with you regarding the whole-tone scale (a personal favourite), and we do intend to include this in Scaler 3.

Octatonic scale has been mentioned before however scales with more than 7 notes do present challenges with the current keys-lock system, although alternative keys-lock options are being explored right now. So yes, this would also be a nice addition.

Hi Tristan
Thanks.
I can see that if there is a 7 note limit the ocatatonic is going to be a problem! I imagine that’s quite a huge change to implement…but as Scaler 3 is going to be a huge success I encourage the devs to implement it!
I think it would allow Scaler to attract wider, more “classical” (in its broadest sense) potential users?

Not only the Octatonic scale: I am using many Indian scales that are very cool in classical and progressive tunes
