Some Scaler 2 chord sets fail to import

Scaler 3.2.2 iPad - Some Scaler 2 chord sets fail to import. I have exported chord sets from a Scaler 2 for iPad project and there are 6 patterns in the chord set. When attempting to import them as a single chord set, it failed. When importing them as six separate patterns of chord sets, I could only import patterns 1, 4, 5 and 6. Patterns 2 and 3 will not import. The two patterns are attached.

Hey @EdZbflat Looks like these are multi-pattern ā€˜Song’ sets from Scaler 2. As per the desktop version Scaler 3 can’t import these as we don’t have patterns in Scaler 3, but it can Import single pattern xml’s (Chord Sets). Instructions on how to do that are here and open Scaler 2, load those files and export as single chord sets can be found here:

Thanks @davide but I’m pretty sure I followed what was shown in the video. Here’s how the export from Scaler 2 on iPad looked (see pictures). Some of the individual chord sets from the same Scaler 2 project imported fine, others did not.

Update - This issue is not specific to Scaler 3 on iPad. I just tried importing the two chord sets that fail on the iPad into Scaler 3.2.1 on PC and they won’t load there either, but again the other exported ones work fine. Maybe there’s a problem with the way Scaler 2 for iPad is exporting the chord sets?

Not that I am in the business of trying to work out why users files are corrupt or not But!
Looking at one of your chordsets that is not working vs the others that are, there seems to be a redundant chord command <CHORD/> in the penultimate line.
Removing that seems to have fixed the issue and I was able to import:

Nice one @davide! Thanks :folded_hands: I will take a look at the other one and make a note for the future.
