I’m trying to find the best way to get my arrangement from Scaler 3 into my DAW. Ideally I’d like to be able to drag the MIDI data onto individual instrument tracks. I know I can export to “multi” MIDI format which creates a .mid file. I can then open that file in my DAW but I’m hoping there’s a better way. Or maybe this is a feature request?
Hi @Zoltar, welcome to the forum.
You can absolutely drag and drop MIDI from Scaler 3 to your DAW or a folder on your computer:
- Click and hold the chord or motion you want
- Drag and drop into your DAW’s MIDI/instrument track or a folder on your computer.
Check out this part of Davide’s Scaler 3: Working With Your DAW video.
Davide also covers dragging and dropping MIDI in the What’s New in Scaler 3 | In Depth Overview which we recommend checking out if you haven’t.
Hope that helps - enjoy!
I can confirm that the drag-and-drop from Scaler 3 to DAW works flawlessly.

Thanks guys. I had not seen those videos & didn’t try the obvious. That makes workflow a whole lot simpler.
I appreciate the help!
