Sketch Mode same chord suggestions when chords exist in Sketch lane

In Sketch mode, there’s one thing I’m not sure about – whether it’s intended behavior or a software bug. Let’s say I have a progression with four chords already and I want to try out different alternatives for the remaining chords in the progression. When I drag my progression into the first row, Scaler adds more chords to complete it. The result can be good – or not so much. But when I drag the same progression into row 2 and let it complete again, I get exactly the same progression as in row 1. If I repeat this across all rows, I end up with the same progression seven times and no alternatives.

If this is intentional, I don’t understand why. The expected behavior would be to get seven different progressions.

Well I guess when we are completing a chord progression in Sketch page we are trying to give you chords that work best with your current chords. We are not trying to be random as that would be mutually exclusive.
If we are populating all 8 chords from scratch then we are starting from different points and subsequently getting different results so the behaviour is as expected. I guess we could add en element of randomness to the former. Having said that using Pattern Fill with four existing chords and a scale on the Main Track does give different results.
Let’s see if we can improve this behaviour. Moving to feature requests.

Thanks, Davide. I guess this will give us users a great option to experiment with countless chord possibilities.
