Hello!
I’m woundering, is there a function to change ARP chords to be different from the Lead or PAD chords, but still fit in? I mean is there any suggestions in Scaler? And does my idea correspond to basic music theory?
Hi @DeadZombie
If you want
then you will have to use a second instance of Scaler for the arpeggios.
I don’t think there is a function within Scaler to do this.: the best way to choose alternative chords is with your ears. I would suggest you try using the features on the CHORD page to experiment with sus chord, inversions and chord extensions (see # Introduction to the CHORD page and Introduction to CHORD Variations
Finally you ask
I would suggest that you should consider music theory as a guide rather than a set of absolute rules. The great composers (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, etc.) all “broke the rules” at some time when composing. If it sounds right to you, then it is correct.
Great! Both variants are exactly what I was asking about. Before using a second instance of Scaler I’d rather to experiment with sus chord, inversions and chord extensions. Thank you!
