Search Chord in Scaler 3 for iPad and on screen keyboard in landscape view

I’m looking for a way around a problem I have with editing chords or entering chords by name. The on-screen keyboard is obscuring the search box when I use the method described below:

  1. Open Scaler 3 iPad in standalone mode in landscape view.
  2. Select a chord and use the context menu to Edit the chord.
  3. This will take you to the Create page and Circle of Fifths section.
  4. Midway down the page is a search box, where you can enter a chord name, such as Bb maj7(sus2).
  5. Start typing in the search box.
  6. The on-screen keyboard pops up and obscures the search box (see pics).
  7. Additionally, if the keyboard is hidden using the hide button, and the search box is tapped again, the keyboard does not appear to come back until the text is cleared.

Press and hold on the bottom right keyboard key. Depending on your iOS version you’ll get some pop-up options. Floating is probably the most useful here.

(and to go from floating back to normal you can “pinch out” with two fingers)
