Scaler Lite?

I’m looking for a way to browse by key or chord but in a very “lame” way by S3 standards.

For example, I’ve got a techno sample from Splice in D minor, and I’d like to find scales or chords that build nicely on top of it. Right now, I feel a bit overwhelmed by the process. I’m scrolling through techno chord sets, but I have to keep transposing them to fit the sample’s scale (and I don’t want to transpose the sample itself).

Also, I’ve noticed that some chord sets from other genres actually fit my techno style really well, so it’d be great to browse by the vibe of those chord sets — though I know that’s kind of there already.

Basically, I’d love a workflow where Scaler isn’t the starting point for building a track, but more like a tool to fill in the blanks or tidy up the harmonic content once the idea’s in place.

Thing is, Scaler has become so powerful that it’s getting harder to tame for simple, everyday and lightweight tasks. Hope you know what I mean, if not than come up with more examples.
