Scaler Detector 1.2.0 (Released October 2, 2026)
Scaler Detector 1.2.0 introduces new performance and workflow improvements, updated settings and licensing, alongside further stability and compatibility fixes.
Licensing
- Introduced our new self-managed activation system, bringing Scaler Detector in line with Scaler 3.
- Existing Scaler Detector users will be required to re-authorise their licence after installing Detector 2.0.
New & Improved
- Scale White Keys – New performance mode maps the white keys of your MIDI keyboard to notes in the currently selected scale.
- Improved MIDI Detection – MIDI detection now responds to notes played from the internal keyboard as well as external MIDI input.
- Updated Settings – New Settings interface and functionality shared with the latest Scaler 3 platform.
- Check for Updates – Scaler Detector can now check for new versions directly from the application.
- Updated User Guide – Documentation has been revised for Scaler Detector 2.0.
Fixes & Performance
- Improved Studio One compatibility.
- Fixed an issue where the Chord Duration setting could incorrectly affect the visual length of newly detected chords.
- Fixed the missing close button in the Audio Detection Threshold window.
- Additional stability, performance and UI improvements.

This update focuses on MIDI reliability improvements, updated settings access and general maintenance updates.
