All good and fine… I already have the changelog bookmarked (the thread actually doesn’t show up anymore once you’re signed into the Discourse forum engine - had to really jump some hoops to always find that).
But where does one sign up to the newsletter?!
I legit can’t find anything about that on your page.
.
That is not the point to me. The point is, and I’ve read this myself via their customer support and also here on the Discourse forum, PIB says “got questions, reach out to ScalerDevs”, and here on Discourse with severe technical issues, “if you bought via PIB, please contact PIB’s support”.
However, you folks are the developers, are you not?
Since we’re talking v3, and finally a more unified page, this needs to be addressed as well IMO. So yes, I am for improvements on communication/conveying updates to your userbase. This is long overdue and would stop the hoop-jumping.
.
And speaking of upgrades:
This adds to my question above… can we PIB users just… move over to ScalerMusic? Again, to unify things? Heck, I’ll gladly spend 5 USD more for this move.
.
.
And I got three more technical questions that are really important to me.
1 - Considering that there will now be a standalone version as well, can we still just use a VSTi variant?
2 - Will we be able to not install bundled sounds? I am really only using Scaler to trigger other VSTi, I don’t need an internal sound engine and would like to have an engine that is “bloat-free”.
3 - The most important question to me – will we need a license manager for Scaler 3? Especially one that runs in the background that checks randomly every 2-4 days if my license is still “legit”? (see the Beatport Access drama – which stopped me from cross-grading tools from formerly Soundspot – I really dislike being punished for nothing as legit user).
.
Thank you for your time.
