Hi Davide,

switching audio output and restarting the app / iPad did not help. The issue with AudioKit J6 and J8 still exists also in the updated version of Scaler 3 for iPad, while these plugins work flawlessly within Logic Pro for iPad and AUM.

The issue with stuck notes has been solved, as you mentioned.

Best,

Axel

@davide this is not about bugs, but I’d like you to pay attention to the below three points for the future improvements:

1: currently the only way to overwrite an existing file is to type in the exact name of the current file and save it. Failing to do so ends up with creating another file, and currently there’s no way to delete/organize existing files. There should be more accessible way to overwrite existing files.

2: two-finger tapping (substitute for the right click for the desktop version) is extremely difficult, given the smaller iPad display. It should be changed to double tap

3: the scroll bar navigate the chord progression from left to right is very hard to use.

Hi @Hiroshi Welcome to the community. Thanks for feedback.

  1. Yes this is to be improved in the desktop and iPad but I just use the same name and click yes to ‘Overwrite File’. But we will improve this so the current preset name remains in ‘memory’ and just overwrites.
  2. Double tap is used for performance all the time so we can’t use that. We did lots of research and testing here. Either a devoted ‘Shift’ button or what we have or both. We went with what we have. In Scaler 2 we used the ‘Shift’ button
  3. Yes desktop and iPad we had some improvements and more to come here with 3.3

@davide, Just to add to point 1, the iPad version definitely needs a way to delete or rename presets. I expected the presets to be accessible in the “On My iPad” section of the file app. I’ve currently got two presets with the same name but one starts with a capitilised letter and the other does not.

Is there any way I can delete one of them?

As time goes on the number of user presets is going to grow and grow so I think a method of managing them will become more and more important.

Further to last: App doesn’t fill full screen on iPad Pro 12.9 3rd gen with iPadOS 26.3 - there is a 1cm black border of wasted space above the topmost menu bar. FYI.

Double finger tap on chord. Delete from content menu that appears.

Have downloaded and installed 3.2.2 - App only operates full screen with no iPadOS “window” buttons. Is this correct? Or a bug?

Hey

Unfortunately, I couldn’t use Scaler 3 on my iPad because the text is far too small for my eyes. Is there any chance you might consider accessibility? After all, Scaler 2 can display fonts in two sizes. Why such a lack of consideration?

Best Hans

Hi @Hans And welcome to the forum. Not sure there would be many companies that consider their users more than we do. With me at the helm scouring the world for any feedback or comments on what we do and how our community use our products. We used one of the most recognised UI designers to actually create an iPad specific design. When it came to implementing it, we found we were going down the same route as Scaler 2 on iPad in which we ended up developing a different piece of software to desktop. So I decided to take another route which is where we landed. In Beta testing, with over one hundred power users we had one user struggle with the readability. I have aging eyes and wear glasses. Is it perfect? Of course not. Is it as simple as pressing a button to allow bigger fonts - No. These things are always much more complicated than they seem. Moving forward we are looking at ways to improve this rest assured.

Hi @dbrdh Welcome to the forum. We moved that display up and down hundreds of times! Where we are accommodates for all priors versions of iPadOS and iPadOS26 which treats split screen and full screen differently. In order to accomodate all the system menus (especially the one in iOS 26) we needed the space up the top. Annoyed me too to have a gap in split-screen but it worked everywhere.

Absolutely, number 1 priority is to implement easy sharing, interoperability between desktop and iPad and disclosing location which will allow deleting etc. On the way with 3.3 - just required co development alongside desktop.

Don’t know if others have similar problem.

If I halve the length of a chord, I can’t place a chord right after it. There is automatically a half-step between the chord and the next chord

Hi @samsam Sound like you need to adjust Divisions (top right)? Scaler 3 works on a 1 Bar grid by default. Please check the on-board tutorial or online tutorials for help.

Thanks. It helps! I found it. But it is strange to have to go in the “arrange” page to modify that and not being able to do that in the browse page. Maybe, I’m missing something?

We are adding that to the three dot menu in the Main Page very soon!

Thx for the follow-up!
