THANK YOU SIR @Miki For your efforts enjoy this generative sequencing video clip from inside the BITWIG MODULE > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI5IwfcTuWw Let us not forget all the smartest ABLETON developers left for Bitwig many years ago - HMM on closer inspection your screenshot shows ANALOG LAB V which is the plugin I am hoping to use with Scaler 3 if I can one day figure it out. Thank you sir this has provided good hope for the future. The question is how do you get to the sounds page. I am scared to open Scaler 3 up again. Maybe this time with the refined internal mechanics of Bitwig it will prove to be a less perplexing experience. I only need to jumble up into a harmonic pattern say 3 to 6 midi inputs, at most. This is enough for what I want, I think
Someone help, please? It is not in the settings. I am curious to see if we can make scaler 3 input the notes onto the BIT WIG SEQUENCER that then will play the Analog LAB V sounds. Let us not be burdened by what has been → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdkW51BxfOA
You might ask why is that enough? Why don’t you need a complicated long stretching? Melodic masterpiece multi layered and complicated? Well dear friend it’s because of the rhythm first principal what you might ask is that it’s the idea that even the most beautiful harmony on earth will feel lifeless if behind it it has not got a good rhythm a good pace a good sense of movement. A good drum or percussion pattern in other words! Whereas you can have a bland boring almost lifeless harmony but if it has behind it a good rhythm it is brought to life! Obviously you want the best of both worlds but priorities priorities as they say
@Miki you were thoughtful and had enough to put 123. I missed out on that earlier today. Very sorry. Thank you for your attention to detail and your help. Much appreciated.
Nice sequence, very interesting experience.
As I have no knowledge of Bitwig, I cannot help you with your other posts. And as this topic is closed, I would recommend you to create a new one under General discussion and copy Bitwig posts there to have more visibility. You can add a tag Bitwig to the new topic. We have a lot of Bitwig users in the community and I hope someone will be able to help.
Thanks @Miki ! Have a great day
You are welcome. Have a great day you, too.
Scaler 3 Workflow with Bitwig’s Onscreen Keyboard Panel
Dear @tristan and scaler 3
First off, thank you for creating Scaler 3 — it’s an incredibly inspiring tool for harmonic exploration, and I’m excited to integrate it more deeply into my setup.
I wanted to share a specific way I’m approaching Scaler 3 and ask whether it aligns well with the intended design or if you have any suggestions.
Rather than relying on the traditional piano roll view as my visual reference, I’m trying to focus entirely on Bitwig’s internal onscreen keyboard panel — the one that shows labeled blocks with note letters (C, D, E, etc.) instead of the traditional grid of piano keys.
My aim is to keep things more musically intuitive by staying grounded in lettered scale degrees and using that onscreen keyboard to trigger and visualize what Scaler is doing harmonically. In other words, I’d like to treat Bitwig’s letter-block keyboard as my main compositional interface — using it in conjunction with Scaler to explore chord voicings, in-scale melodies, and modulations without having to bounce back and forth between too many views.
Is there any recommended setup or workflow that would help optimize Scaler 3 for this kind of “letter-block-centric” visual experience inside Bitwig?
Thanks again for building such a powerful tool — looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Warm regards,
Ps thanks for the latest video @davide just shared it with my teacher very inspiring
