Hi,
I was about to enjoy Scaler 3.3 on Ipad but sadly, after updating to 3.3, the app crashes systematically. I had no issues with the previous Scaler 3 version on Ipad.
I removed the app and reinstall with no luck, rebooting Ipad neither.
I’ve also tested under GarageBand to check the AU side: where Scaler 2 correctly appears, Scaler 3.3 is not shown.
Platform: Ipad Pro 9,7 - iPadOS 16.7.16

Can you make Scaler 3.2.4 available as a previous/last-compatible App Store version for iPad Pro 2nd generation on iPadOS 17.7? Version 3.2.4 worked, but 3.3 crashes immediately on launch even after a clean reinstall

Thanks for reporting this, looks like an issue we didn’t discover in Beta testing.
We are looking into this now as it appears to affect some older iPad models / iPadOS versions where Scaler 3.2.4 was previously working correctly.
The most helpful thing would be:
We will ask the development team to review the crash logs and compatibility settings. If this is something we can resolve quickly, we will aim to address it in an update. We will also look into the best way to support users on older devices if 3.3 is not compatible with a specific model.

I confirm that Scaler 3.3 standalone crashes immediatley after launch.
Scaler 3 AUv3 is not seen under GarageBand or Midiculous, but Scaler 2 and Scaler 2 Lite are.

Thanks again for your guys fast responds. Here is how it went.
After downloading Scaler 3.1 and opening it, it stayed on the start screen for about 20 seconds and then it crashed. See crash report.
I then did a reset of my ipad and started Scaler 3 again, after about 20 seconds the start up screen crashed again, but there was a message Scaler would like to access your microphone. I gave permission to do so and restarted Scaler 3 again and now it started up.
What also is interesting before it started up normally it was not in the list of preferences. See attached photo. Thereafter it was.
So everything seems to be fine for now although I think there is still a problem somewhere.
Keep you informed when using it.

Hi Davide,
This update solved the issue for me. Scaler 3 standalone launches correctly, asked me permissions to access the mike, I said Yes-My-Love then the welcome tutorial page was displayed as expected.
Scaler AUv3 is also shown in AU list and loaded correctly in GarageBand and Midiculous.
So for me the issue raised can be considered as solved. Thanks to Scaler Team and to @johnberrevoets .
Additional non related considerations that I will try to investigate and report in a new issue if relevant:
Under Midiculous, Scaler 3 AUv3 screen is very small (the tiny stuff on the top left of the center black popup. This might be related to Midiculous plugin management, I don’t know. Anyway, it can be resized easily.
I’ve tried (randomly) preset “Concerning Epics” under Midiculous and GarageBand. Playing some keys is ok but pressing Scaler 3 Play button lead Scaler 3 AUv3 to crash in flames after some chords in both app. No ips report files available sorry.
I have audio output issue using AUv3 Scaler 2 and Scaler 3 under GarageBand that I don’t have with other AUv3 like Moog Model D for example.
Once again, this last bullets are for information for now. I will investigate further and report if needed.

That crash report relates to 3.3.0.
Glad to see it seems to have fixed the issue for you!
Have you quit out of all apps and restarted your iPad? Not sure about Midiculous but otherwise 3.3.1 all working ok for us.
IPad Pro? Which chip? I have an iPad Air with an M3 chip and Scaler 3 never crashes.
