I’ve now found a workable way to use Scaler 3.2. It’s not ideal but will do until hopefully there is a fix at some point.
I deleted Scaler 3.2 and cleared all files and folders, including any registry entries. After I ran a clean install, the problem was still there. I then reactivated the VST3 and forced a rescan in N14. I can now drag Scaler into the N14 project window, however, when closing N14, the Scaler will then be dumped into the ‘Blocklist’. Although, every time I open N14, I have to reactivate and rescan within N14. Oddly enough, after doing this and Scaler 3.2 is loaded and working, it still shows up in the blocklist?
Similar problem here on latest Nuendo. I have just repaved my W11 PC so all is clean.
I installed without VST2 and AAX and vst3 was placed in blocklist and not appearing as an instrument. I tried unblocking and rescanning etc., but it still ended up in block list.
I had also done the uninstall (lazy version) by deleting various files and reinstalled with VST2 and AAX enabled this time but that hasn’t helped and now Nuendo crashes
In the end I went back to the download on PluginBoutique which is an earlier version of 3. All working now. The latest version was causing problems in S1 also so need to move on… Happy to help if I can with later tests.
Apologies for the delayed response. Just a quick follow-up: a couple of updates have been released since your reports in this thread, including general stability improvements across several DAWs, as well as a Windows-specific fix related to Scaler startup on some systems.
The latest version is Scaler 3.2.2. If you get a chance to update, please let us know if it helps. Cheers.
