Hi, I’m trying to find some chords but some doesn’t show up, aren’t all chords in the chord finder?
Maybe I’m doing something wrong?
Just as an example in this clip at 11.00; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITCrFGABVzg
Hope somebody can help me.
I captured a snippit of the Steely Dan progression starting at 11 minutes. Then had Scaler 3 input the chords from the audio mp3. Close but no cigar. Won’t be doing that again.
Ah, you took the audio and it was close, I typed the chords in but with some chords there was no match at all, I got nothing.
Thanks you for your help!
Chord nomenclature and enharmonic chords can be a funny thing. A chord can be called different things according to different implementations. That’s Theory!
There’s two nice ways to do this.
The long but accurate way is to play the chords in with MIDI Detect
The easier way is to use the Circle of Fifths page. Click on the Chord and get the suggestions or enter the chord in the text box (look for enharmonic’s - for example Gb can come be F#).
thanks for your answer.
I tried to enter some chords as shown in the clip in the text box but nothing came out?
I expected that a chord would come up to select but nothing, that’s why I posted my question on the forum.
