First of all, I applaud you for the speed that you are releasing fixes and updates, and for changing the play button as has been suggested by multiple people, including myself.
However, the play button is not a “Stop” as traditionally understood in a DAW, it is a pause, since it stops wherever the play head is when it is clicked. Stop traditionally goes back to the point where playback was started (i.e. the beginning, or wherever the cursor was placed). So having a stop icon is not really accurate to the action the program is taking. Also, if you stop in the middle of an icon (whether it is a full measure, or more or less), playback does not continue until the next full icon. I understand that this is how MIDI works, but in my DAW, if I pause in the middle of a note, that note somehow continues to play. I know this is a small issue, but the devil is in the details. If it is going to be a “Stop” button, then at the least, it should reset to the beginning of the current note, so that when it is started again you are not listening to silence and wondering if you did something wrong. This would be especially problematic if the note where you stopped in the middle was several measures long. I realize that you can stop/pause and hit rewind and go back to the beginning, so that helps. This is the behavior of every audio program I’ve ever used (and that is MANY), so I am kind of surprised that the bakers did not research this before committing the behavior of Scaler 3 playback.
Additionally, if I am on the Create page, play the main track, and switch to the Arrange page, while playing, the play icon is there instead of the stop icon, and I have to click multiple times to get playback to stop. Also, the playback line is stationary, instead of following playback, though the dim/bright area on the measures is still correct.
