Possibility to select the input midi channel in the app

Please add a menu in the app where you can select a channel to receive and send MIDI. As it is realised, for example, in Arturia instruments

I use the Scaler 3 app with KeyStep Pro (i.e. outside the DAW). Just connecting to the second channel. And can’t connect anything else to the other channels. Because all the channels affect Scaler 3.

It seems to me that for an app to be able to select different midi channels would be a very good opportunity to become a great instrument without risking becoming a heavyweight DAW

Hi @Vadim Agreed and already on our roadmap. MIDI input on channel select. Will take some time but expect to see it soon.

I like to create music in half-DAWless format. Because I’m a big fan of VST, but I don’t always want to run Ableton live. Especially since KeyStep Pro allows you not to do that :wink:

Until the end of March there was a problem - how to run effects in this format. But with the appearance of Scaler 3 this problem is solved :slight_smile:

I hope that soon the issue with the choice of input midi channel will be solved too. And I only wish that Scaler will not turn into a heavy DAW. It will remain a wonderful and inspiring tool for searching and developing musical ideas ;).

Now I found a solution - Midipipe. However, I would like to have a more elegant solution :wink:
