Pattern 1 - Pattern 2 - etc

Having got the new Scaler 3 finally today, I have now spent a couple of hours with it. Mostly scratching my head if I’m honest.

I used the multiple Pattern 1 - Pattern 2 - and so on all the time in old Scaler. I’d have a ‘main’ progression in Pattern 1, and then 1 or 2 contrasting progressions in Pattern 2 and Pattern 3. These I could then midi-drag into Bitwig clips and create a bit of a groove with a nice variety of instruments there. Lots of fun.

I can’t find a way of adding/creating separate Patterns now? Am I being utterly dense? It seems that Scaler 3 wants to take over as the DAW and have a one long flow of chord progressions, which would perhaps be fine if I could drag out groups of midi to Bitwig… but I can find no way of doing that.

Having sat patiently through the months of Scaler 3 hype, and yesterday’s release debacle; I am now looking at it and wondering if I’ve made a huge mistake. I am really really hoping I am just too stupid to work out how to use Scaler 3 properly.

Can I have multiple Patterns in Scaler 3? If so, how?

Should load at the relevant part.

Edit: Sorry didn’t fully read your problem. Yeah, with you on the chord progression in the arranger but as far as I’m aware, you can select one or as many chord progressions as you want from anywhere in Scaler 3 and drag them to a DAW midi track.

Hey @keef Nice it time it is special.
You want the Sketch Page!

Ah, yes, thank-you… sketches are what I am looking for.

I expect I’ll get used to where everything is now :o)

I do have a midi-drag bug that I’ve found but I’ll post that in a new thread.
