Oddities of the installer

Hi devs, @davide @Steven etc.

Before installing any version of SC3 (pre-releases included) I always deleted the Scaler 3 folder in C:\ProgramData\Scaler Music

Today I opened the plugins64.log file, and I found that SC3 keeps adding, or looking at then skipping, some plugins I deleted one month ago; this is why I always found a discrepancy between VSTs found (more) and VSTs used (less)

I don’t think this is regular…

I also found that the name of the 1st preset (default one) has one space before… a voluntary odd naming or a typo possibly jeopardizing the possibility to change the preset?

AND, I also found a 25MB preset file, YUK

I opened it with MS Word and saved as rtf
the size remains the same, and MS words struggles opening it
it usually happens with more than 50 pages :grimacing:

I tried to open the rtf with my CAT tool that opens and manages almost everything, but it failed
:scream:

How a textual file can be so tough to manage?
Are you sure it is not faulty?

Can’t help you with the other stuff but I’m guessing that the space at the start of that file name is a somewhat bodgy method of making the default preset appear at the top of an alphabetically-sorted list!
