Moving/editing chords in various Scaler 3 parts is very slow

As per title: moving chords in this area, needed if you delete some chord, is so slow that Scaler 3 seems freezed

It doesn’t happen always anyway, so maybe there is an interference with another process in my system

Hey, Claudio. Do you mean, when you delete chords and there are gaps?

Yes, and when I move the following chord to delete the gap, I have big delays
but not always, so I have to investigate is further

This one is easy. When you have gaps, just right-click on ANY of the remaining chords do Select All.

Then right-click on any selected chord and select Remove Empty Spaces.

et voilà:

There is a tutorial I almost forgot that I did

Thanks Miki

and what about chord replacement?
when I D&D over a chord this is not replaced, but just moved further

I’m currently in the office, but I’ll do a video. Not difficult. The cursor shoul not be neither before nor after the chord because this moves the chords. In fact, the replacement chord should ‘shadow’ the o e you need to replace. Left border of the new chord should be somewhere in the middle of the original chord. I’m pretty sure I did a clip about it in one of my replies to someone.

Search for ‘Replace chord by drag and drop’ and there is a clip.

Hi @Miki

Maybe I found the point where Scaler 3 becomes very slow and crashes
The situation in the picture

the 5th chord became faded and I had to kill the audio process losing all that was made in Scaler 3

If you think about Bmin… because this is the only 5th chord I see in the image.

Generally, a chord becomes “faded” when shift+click on it = becomes mute.

Unless after that everything freezes. Then this is something new that I did not encounter.

Can you give more details?

Maybe that I clicked Shift instead of Alt
Anyway, the system was slow adding each chord in that situation, and crashed after a while

Oh, BTW, almost all sub-screens (not sunscreens  ) have right-click/context menu.

If you want to add any progression in any screen, you can find Select All, Add to Main Track, etc. Maybe this can help.

Thanks pal, but I don’t want “add an entire progression”
I want actually “create an entire progression” selecting each chord by myself

I add that it is still very slow when using the square Suggest box
it seems faster editing chords in other ways
