Hi all! I’ve been a user of Scaler since version one. I’m a guitar player and what I want to do is have the fretboard view open in scaler and mouse click a series of notes on it to create/detect a chord in scaler. Is this possible in Scaler 2 or 3? I don’t want to capture one note at a time but a few notes and then move on to the next chord. It would work like a reverse chord finder and then I can build a progression from it in Scaler. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hi @olivegoose the recently released Scaler 3 v1.0.7 update did specifically address inputting notes via the fretboard view so make sure you have updated to this version.
Editing chords via the keyboard or fretboard view is done via the Circle of Fifths page in Scaler 3. To start with a blank chord, click the ‘?’ suggest button in the Main Track, then drag a rest into the Main Track. Select the rest chord and enter notes via the fretboard.
The chord should be identified in real-time and chord suggestions should appear above. Is this what you are trying to accomplish?
