I have to save my progress every few minutes

Over all, a magnificent iPad version… thanks to your team.

I find I have a challenge of using the basics, entering notes, using and expanding the various scroll bars, expanding the A and C chord lanes, making bars larger, copying/pasting, and quickly deleting bars of music. I’ve watched your introduction and watched other YouTube videos. For the first few interactions, things seem to work, but then I have to save and quit. Repeat. Any suggestions for my 13” iPad? Thank you.

Hey @Canjo Can you elaborate and give us some steps to follow. That sounds like you’re saying UI becomes unresponsive after a while. It certainly hasn’t for us or our testers but if you could give us some steps to follow, we can give it a try thanks.

Hi, Davide,

I’m trying Scaler 3 for iPad everyday to become familiarized with its one or two finger gestures.

I will come back with more description… basically, it’s all the moving of groups of chords and many of the scroll features. They move one way but don’t return.
Then I have to restart.

Thanks for a personal email. I appreciate that.

@Canjo (Marshall)

Don’t forget there is an undo button which can undo most things.

I use it regularly when I accidentally drag or stretch the wrong thing. Also, I seem to specialise in leaving the scissor tool active so I often have to undo an extra cut or two (would be nice if we had a setting to make the scissor tool deselect itself…)

Thank you. I’ll check your ideas out!

Marshall

I started a new session to test Scaler for iPad.

Picked Artists - ABCdu Beatmaker 10.

Played chords pattern to hear them.

**Would not play them again as I pushed the square stop button, also to restart with the line and triangle button.

Question: it seems some functions work with finger touch and some work with the Apple Pencil Pro… is this true?

This may solve the starting with only my finger and not the Apple Pencil.

**I grouped all the bars from chord set to drag it down to the C Main Track… no sound or movement

Then, suddenly in a few minutes, it works.

Stopped here and started a new session.

I choose my chord set and pulled them down to Main Track.

Added a user track. I was working with Scaler’s orchestra. Went to sound setting AMP ADSF

**the circles under AMP won’t move to mid area. When I do, it jumps back to higher lower extreme.

**played one note, it kept playing on and on so I used the circle with the exclamation mark to stop.

** when I stopped the piece by pushing the square stop feature, it plays on for a couple of bars

In one of the User volume track, using the volume slider doesn’t work.

**at this point, I pushed a submenu and the whole screen froze for 20 minutes.

This is a new chapter as each day, something else goes wrong. I can’t write more intricate writing, as in user track. It doesn’t respond. I tried to move each whole note to shorten and it didn’t work.

The scrolls in most places just don’t work at all times.

I admit that I haven’t learned all the triggers for menus, but it seems constant problems.
Any help if appreciate.

Hi @Canjo

Thanks for the detailed feedback. What you’re experiencing isn’t something we’re seeing on our studio iPads or in general with other users, so it may be a device-specific issue.

A good first step is to try the following:

  1. Delete the Scaler 3 app from your iPad.
  2. Restart your iPad.
  3. Reinstall Scaler 3 from the App Store.

This often resolves unusual responsiveness or playback issues. Once you’ve done that, please test again and let us know if you still see problems. Thanks.

Hi Stephen,

I am currently on the beta testing.

I emailed Davide two send me a link in TestFlight.

Once I’ll get that, I will follow your instructions… looking for to try it out.

Thanks for your help,

Marshall

Hi Marshall,

Thanks for the update. Just to clarify, Scaler 3 for iPad has already been released on the App Store, so you don’t need to wait for a TestFlight build.

Since you’re currently on the beta version, the best approach is to delete the TestFlight app first, then install the official release from the App Store. This ensures you’re running the stable version and avoids any conflicts.

Once that’s done, please test again and let us know if you notice any issues. Cheers.

Dear Steven,

Thank you for the information. :folded_hands::smiley:
