Full Chord Name Not Visible in Chord Pad For Extended Chords

Chords with extensions are not visible (e.g. Em11…bX) - they rely on a button press and waiting for a carousel to reveal the extension. You may notice that the last chord is stuck in the carousel rotation. It takes a mouse click to reset it. When editing chords this slows the creative process unnecessarily.

In SC2, full chord extended names were visible. Also, its made more difficult in SC3because the chord name and chord notes are not displayed in text. Instead of seeing them at a glance, one has to look at the keyboard and try to remember what notes have been chosen.

I agree! The Scaler 3 interface almost looks like it was designed for a laptop screen. Not sure, but I think many of us are using big 4k monitors (or even multiple big monitors). The hidden cord names, endless scrolling, etc. are shortcomings that I hope are fixed (soon) in an update!

Agree - I just made a comment on this in another post.

Hello,

I’m interested in Scaler more as a learning tool and not so much to directly write music. It’s great to be able to browse tons of chord progressions, but unless I missed something it lacks the essential feature of being able to actually read the chord.

For most chords it works fine, but if it is a C major add 11, the block will only show “C maj a…”. You have to either hover the block with the mouse the eventually see the whole thing or read the minuscule text under I can barely read and hurt my eyes quite a lot.

Any plans in improving this?

Thanks
