This feature isn’t working on my iMac Tahoe 26.0.1. I’ve installed it, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and this feature still isn’t working.
Similarly, the drag and drop midi feature also isn’t working.

Yes. I’m running scaler detector v1.0 that was downloaded from the scaler website today. I’m not able to drag and drop .m4a files. I’m also not able to detect any music playing. I should note that I’m using the standalone application and not the plugin if that matters.
Scaler Detector supports analysis from MP3, WAV and AIFF files. On your second point you need to internally route audio in your Mac. I used Rogue Amoeba Loopback in my video but there are plenty of free alternatives online. I left a few in my video description. Hope that helps.
