Clear instructions for multi track out in DAWs please

Multi midi track out is one of the best features of scaler 3. Sadly in Ableton it is impossible (their fault) and in Cubase it is tremendously confusing and leads to cubase crashing. I have spent several weeks now trying to make this feature work. Clear instructions in the scaler manual would be really helpful!

I’m confused. If it can’t be done in Ableton and Cubase crashes, I’m not sure what instructions you’re asking for. How to set it up in Scaler or how to make your DAW work?
I’ve heard that Blue Cat makes some sort of routing plugin that might help but Bitwig makes it piss easy to do, so I’ve never had to use the Blue Cat solution.

Apologies if I was not clear. What I was hoping for was that someone would know a) some advanced Ableton fix/workaround that I’m unaware of, or b) a better way to route things in cubase to avoid crashes. I was thinking that I might have unwittingly created a midi feedback loop which could have been the cause of the crashing.

I think it’s not very useful posting multiple times, considering that you had some answer already

Clear instructions in the scaler manual would be really helpful!

And, because it was an issue for Scaler 2 users as well, you should find those guides in the forum using the Search feature

for example, Scaler 2.7 Multi Out, how to guide and information for various DAWs

It’s actually very reasonable. One was asking for forum user assistance, another a feature request.
re the scaler two post, if you think that it’s possible to find every single post ever made then you are wrong.

I think it’s ā€˜not very useful’ denigrating others for asking genuine questions and feature requests on a forum designed for asking and answering questions and for submitting feature requests.

I found immediately the tip using the Search option, so you were also able
Anyway, if you prefer asking and hoping, no problem

Exactly, as you say - there is literally no problem with asking questions about a thing in an online forum designed for asking questions about that thing.

But you weren’t asking a question. You described a problem you were experiencing with your DAW and suggested that Scaler should include clear instructions about that issue in their manual. You even posted it under ā€œFeature Requestsā€.
If I worked for Scaler, my response would be ā€œno, go discuss the matter with the people who make your DAWā€.
This is like demanding that the company that makes your dangly air freshener explain why your car won’t start.

You are confused. In my other post on the question section I was asking a question. That’s what he was referring to. In this one I was requesting a feature, which is clear instructions. In fact if you want a car analogy it’s like asking a tyre manufacturer for instructions on how to attach their tyres to your make of car, not especially unreasonable. Scaler obviously agree with me, as they have been very helpful (unlike you).

I’m glad for you that it works in your DAW with no problem, but I ran into problems, which I am here genuinely trying to solve and you are not in any way trying to help with. Rather than appointing yourself policeman of other posters and offering unhelpful 'it works fine in my DAW" comments, why not either ignore a request or question you don’t like or try a constructive helpful answer? It’s fairly basic online etiquette that you should have grasped by now.

Believe it or not, I don’t follow you around the forum keeping tabs on everything you post. You asked for help elsewhere? That’s nice. But in this thread, you requested something that makes no sense. Also, I did provide some help in this thread. You missed that apparently.

I’m very sorry that my post was not up to your standards. Now leave me alone.

I try to explain it better to you

The ā€œproblemā€ you are mentioning is not due to Scaler, but to Ableton and Cubase

The first one doesn’t allow multi-track out, and the second one allows maybe, but it’s hard to obtain as explained in the link I offered to you

So, you should either change your DAW or try to have Ableton and Cubase developers change THEIR software

Now, that feature is asked in the Ableton forum since years, so I’m afraid you are hopeless

I don’t know Cubase, but you can try, asking in THEIR website, not here

Is it clear now?

What’s clear to me is that you need to leave me alone and move on with your life, rather than policing my posts. It’s not your job, so go away. If you want a job as scaler’s forum monitor, apply for one, get it and then you can happily police others to your heart’s content. Until then stop patronising me and leave me alone.
