Multi-MIDI VST wrapper version 2.1 by soaria on maxforlive.com Download this and the companion device. You can’t hear audio from the inside of scaler 3 anymore in the wrapper but if all you want to do is route midi it works just fine. DAW Sync works!

This fixes the need for my hack. Enjoy! If you’re not an Ableton user and still run into the problem of needing multi channel midi out across multiple tracks then the solution below still works just as well.

I’ve found a workable FREE fix for Ableton’s lack of Midi Routing preventing people from using the multi channel midi out. Here’s a detailed guide:

I tried it in the past, but I found it so much cumbersome, that I preferred changing the DAW

also works with every other daw

But most or all other DAWs don’t need it

Respectfully, telling people to change their whole DAW just for one workflow fix is a bit ridiculous. But if it works for you then all the best! :slight_smile:

And why, if you get rid of many other issues?
Many tools exist so people can improve their workflows, don’t you think so?

Just as many cars or photo-cameras exist

This doesn’t work if you want DAW sync to be a thing. I should mention that in my original post. The wrapper integrates poorly with Ableton on that front. If you just click play in your DAW, Scaler 3 doesn’t play automatically with it if working with the insta composer 2 wrapper solution.
