I suspect user error but I am not able to drag audio into Scaler 3 - it just always comes up with the red ‘cannot do’ symbol. I’ve tried directly from a recorded clip in the DAW and dragging from the pool but it just doesn’t work. Drag/Drop MIDI works fine though. And I can also load/import directly from the directory but that is not ideal when there are many clips in there.
Detect Audio from adding the Scaler 3 Audio plugin as an insert works, but I’d rather be able to do this as a standard instrument track.
Cubase 13 and Scaler 3 both on the most recent version.
DAWs rarely let you drag internal audio to an external VST. Can you do drag it into something else like NI Maschine? I’d guess not, most DAWs behave the same way. I also imagine if you drag from your desktop right onto Scaler 3 then that works thereby eliminating Scaler 3 as the issue.
Thanks for the reply - Absolutely not an expert in what DAWS can or can’t do. For me I use it pretty much as a glorified 4-Track!
I asked after watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFwAWbGhiX0 - at the 1 minute mark it mentions drag-drop into Scaler from the DAW, but I’m probably just misunderstanding something.
