Can Scaler give chord ideas for a chorus, bridge etc - after being given initial verse chords?

Hi Guys,

I tend to start alot of tracks but find it difficult sometimes to finish them.

I was wondering can scaler be used to give chord ideas for potential chorus, bridge etc, having been GIVEN the initial chords for the first verse?

Aidan

Simple answer, No. - Opps, What a surprize! The response can’t be less than 20 characters? So no simple answers can be provided. See what I did there?:upside_down_face:

A less simple answer: Scaler will help you to insert chords for the bridge and chorus via a different chord progressions and rhythms for contrast, rearrange the verse chords, or shift to a related key like the relative major or minor. For the bridge, try using a chord that creates tension or a new harmonic color, while the chorus should provide a strong, memorable hook, often using the same or similar chords as the verse but with higher energy.

To add a bit spice to what MusicStudent mentioned, version 3.2 will bring Scenes, which will allow you to easy organize the sections e.g. verse, chorus, etc. Just select chords, add them to verse, select other chords and add them to bridge, select more chords and add them to chorus, etc. This will be a fantastic feature.

And in addition to Scenes that @Miki mentioned I find the Sketch Page and Explore Page really useful for coming up with ideas for bridges, verses, choruses alternating chord progressions etc.
Once you have your Chord Progression and Scale go to Sketch Page and generate entire progressions where we use some nice Machine Learning to suggest progressions based on what you have. Mix and match to make really cool related variations!

With scenes it would be brilliant to have some sort of suggest/generate feature which could take a single scene and then generate one or more other scenes based upon it, or perhaps even generate the framework for a whole song.

So kinda what the sketch page already does but supercharged with scenes.
