The dark mode screen theme may well be tolerable for people with good eyesight but for anyone with less than perfect eyesight it just makes the application unnecessarily difficult to deal with.
How about providing a more normal light mode theme option that makes the app more usable for everyone. Those desperate to cling to trendy cutting edge design imperatives can keep using the dark mode and those that just want something optimised for functionality can also have an option.
