whenever i select a bunch of chords it tries to move them instead

brand new to scaler and so far i love it. one problem i’m having is when i select a progression of chords it instead moves them. i just want to select not move. i’ve tried click with command, option, shift and control. none of those work. hope this makes sense. thanks,

Hi @muscmp Welcome to the community. Scaler 2 or 3? What is moving and to where? Not really sure I am following a little more info would be helpful.

if i try to click and drag to select a progression of chords, then it just moves the last chord to wherever i would drop it. however, i want to select the whole progression so that i can change the key. scaler 3.

Just do a lasso - you can start even a little bit before the first chord, clic on left mouse button and keep it clicked, and make a kind of a little rectangle, all by moving the “rectangle” to the right. See video.
