I came up with this chord progression: D2-Em7b5-Bm7-C2. In my song idea i have one chord progression ending with C2 and on the next iteration the progression ends with a C9 instead of a C2. I wanted to put my chord progression into the Scaler 3: namely D2-Em7b5-Bm7 and I wanted Scaler to give me suggestions beyond C2 or C9. Also for the Suggestions to be on target should I choose D major scale or some other scale? Can I just type in my chord progression without the C2 and have Scaler 3 suggest chords to finalize or embellish this chord progression? Any help would be appreciated. I found Scaler 3 difficult to understand and change.
Hi @PeterKHewer and welcome to the forum. You could import the MIDI into Scaler 3 and hit the Suggest icon and Minimise Movement. It will suggest a chord based on your selected chord, in your case the Bm7. There are also the Circle of Fifths and other Modulation pages which can help here in the Create Tab. No doubt Scaler 3 is a complex program and if you can it’s worth taking some time to watch the Tutorial playlist.
Thank you Davide.
