Trouble with MIDI Connectivity on Scaler 2 – Help Needed!

Hello,

I’m encountering an issue with Scaler 2 when trying to connect it to my MIDI controller. I’ve followed all the instructions, but for some reason, the MIDI input isn’t being detected properly in the software. I’ve tried multiple USB cables, restarted my computer, and reinstalled the software, but nothing seems to work.

The controller is fine with other software, so it’s only occurring in Scaler 2. I’ve verified the MIDI settings in Scaler, and they all appear to be correct. I’m using the latest version of Scaler 2 on a Windows computer, so I’m wondering if there’s some particular setting or workaround that I may have overlooked.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with MIDI connectivity in Scaler 2? If you have, I’d welcome any advice or solutions you can offer. I’m thoroughly enjoying the software but this is a sticking point at the moment. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hey @williamclark Welcome to the forum. The only possibility for confusion on Scaler’s side is that you need to load Scaler as an instrument (not an audio FX), If its a MIDI FX in logic then obviously you need to load an instrument afterward. Scaler is dumb re MIDI input. It’s the DAW passing on the MIDI info to Scaler. Not sure what else to suggest other than restarting your machine?
