I’m trying to do the following:
- Play a single key on my keyboard.
- Have Scaler 3 provide a chord, bass note and (synced to my DAW) an arpeggiation based on the chord bound to each key. I want the bass note and arpeggiation to be sent either from separate MIDI outputs, or at least on different MIDI channels.
I can get Scaler 3 to play a chord, but I can’t see a way to have it also play a bass note and arpeggiation, despite it having multiple ‘tracks’?
Am I missing something, or is this just not possible?
The roaring silence seems to suggest that it’s not possible.
I would have thought this to be a basic function of the new tracks - to be able to run them with bindings and have the outputs returned to my DAW.
I’m almost positive it IS possible, by using multiple instances of Scaler. I just need to boot up and try it. I’ll report back a little later.
Appreciate the response.
Yes, I could use multiple instances of Scaler 3, but that’s an overhead. It also means I would need to assign the same chord patterns to multiple instances. I could more easily add different plug-ins, such as a chord player and arpeggiators, but I was hoping Scaler was a one-stop solution.
So no, this is not really the solution I’m looking for,
Can I please ask for this ability to be included in a future update?
I just want to send single notes to Scaler 3 from my DAW, but have Scaler’s tracks transmit back to my DAW. I don’t want to build chord sequences in Scaler, or to have Scaler play-synced to my DAW.
