Some quality of life improvement suggestions

Let’s start by saying I think Scaler 3 is amazing! So much fun and so useful!
I do have some sugestions for improvements. If there are options i’m missing I hope someone can point them out to me.

  1. Zoom for the track view . It would make it a lot easier to view your project and select parts.
  2. Mute parts function. I find that if you realy want to build a song, you want to be able to move arround parts. This can be a problem because your always tied to the main track if you don’t want to loose the chord follow mode. The option to mute parts could be a sollution.
  3. An “un-link from chord follow mode” option for parts. Now it seems the only way to do this is to move a note in the part.
  4. A list of which DAW’s are compatible with the multi channel routing options and a short explanation how to set this up.

Hi thanks for the feedback!

  1. See attached is this what you mean?
  2. Shift>Click Mutes clips
  3. Oh interesting. Never thought that could be useful but yes different chords!
  4. I think all DAWs support Multi Channel MIDI out besides Ableton but that is document we would like to create although the setting up is related to the DAW instructions itself.
    zoom
  1. CTRL+Mouse Wheel zooms the view. SHIFT+Mouse wheel scrolls the view.

@davide Thanks for 2. I didn’t know that and I don’t think it’s in the manual. Makes me wonder what other shortcuts there are!

Thank you for your reply Davide!

Hah! Yes, sorry I didn’t figure the zooming part out myself… :person_facepalming:
Great that the muting options is allready available!

As for the multi channel midi, actually i’m not sure I still need it since we have the tracks in Scaler now with vst and fx support… Still have to get used to that workflow but so far it works realy well.

Thanks!
