Solo and Band on/off Button interaction

Hi - it seems to me like this doesn’t work as expected. If you solo a band eg bass then you just want to check what that band is doing by toggling the band filter on/off it removes (bypasses the solo) defeating the purpose so you hear the full spectrum and therefore unable to determine what the band is doing in context.
I think it would be more normal if the band on button didn’t change the solo.
Thanks - Love it otherwise

Hi @Reubenr Welcome to the community! Would you mind elaborating please? When you say toggle the Band on/off what are you referring to?
Note that the Solo button is for audio only not MIDI. I’ve tried to reproduce but can’t seem to find anything unusual there…

This little power button here. So for example in Pro-MB how I often work is solo the bass band to just hear the bass. Then apply effect (compression or harmonic EQ in this case) and toggle the effect on off while still focussing on that band. Currently if you toggle the band power button off then the solo is deactivated also. In which case you go back to hearing the full spectrum again so you can’t really compare in solo mode. https://i.postimg.cc/PrkyXHN7/Screenshot-2025-06-22-at-10-30-11-AM.png

Oh sorry I thought you were referring to Scaler 3. OK I get it. Please correct me if I am wrong.
The Solo button does visually stay activated when clicking power off but the band audibly looses its solo. You want to hear that band but without the EQ? Makes total sense but because of the tech behind the harmonic filters I don’t think it’s as easy to implement as a normal EQ. Will put it on our list and discuss with the team. Thanks for the feedback!
