Understand Sketch is due to be updated soon.
Hoping functionality to select inversions/ change octave for chords directly in Sketch page will be added as I find my inspiration quickly disappears when I find I can’t get to the chord sound I want.I like to work in sketch page before committing to Main song timeline
Perhaps there is a recommended current best approach/workflow
Appreciate any suggestions in meantime.

Just select the chord(s) you want to change in the midi editor. It brings up options to change the octave and inversion for the selected chords.
Thanks - so I added some Sketch chords to Main track and tried to amend in Midi Editor as suggested.
The Octaves and Inversion boxes show but I cannot amend.
Is there a lock button somewhere I need to check for?
They have a kind of odd drag method to adjust. Click on it and drag up and down to modify
The button on the adjustment pane could use some highlighting to show that it is a button.

So if I copy wayward Sketch chord to Main track then edit in Midi-Editor and send back to relevant Sketch then all is good.
If possible, it would be useful if I could do this in Sketch directly as I create parts for song structure there before moving to Main.

I just remembered that you can also do it on the create page:
If you edit the click on the chord in the main track, it will take you here where you can also change it. Not only by selecting those but the keyboard lets you further customize the voicing.
+1 with request to be able to edit chords,voicing and motions directly in sketch. Would be really good.
For now it’s a single motion and no voicing option which forces to send to main track, potentially mess up your main track then send back to sketch… whereas the main point of sketch is to…. sketch ideas BEFORE we send to main track, isn’t it?
Sketching with very limited options to sketch is not very helpful whereas this feature could really ease things.
Actually, would also fancy advice on how sketch should be used once we have settled on a set of chords added to Main track.
I have a set of 8 track / 8 bars and say I’m not happy with bar 6 (chord 6). I don’t find any easy way to swap that chard with another one, for example a suggested chord or even one I could edit directly.
At the moment I need to send the whole main track to sketch where I lose the whole track context (only main track playing), then get limitations listed above so sketch is not the way to go it seems.
Working directly on main track is destructive by definition which is annoying. Say I still want to replace this main track chord right-click doesn’t bring the actual chord, only the menu Create and then we need to re-select the chord. And then there is not replace function, we need to add the new chord, delete the old one, re-adjust the timing of the following chord since deletion leaves a blanks.
Gosh it’s so twisted workflow.
I’m doing big efforts to try to love this software in v3, help.
