I would try changing the tempo in your daw first. it sounds like you are using it as a plugin and not as a standalone program. If your’re using scaler inside the daw, you can try unchecking the sync to daw box in the options. This will allow you to change the tempo in the vst independent of the daw. I believe the default behavior in the standalone allows you to change it without changing anything. Hope this helps.

IMO, this is most unfortunate (if true). Not only for fractional tempos, but also simply for changing the tempo and being able to go directly and quickly to the new desired tempo.
When working with other softwares that have presets which have their own tempos, while driving the chord changes from Scaler (3.3) Standalone via virtual MIDI ports, it is most desirable for workflow to be able to immediately type in a new tempo in Scaler to match the tempo of a newly recalled preset in the cooperating software.
I much hope that this can be fixed. Whether if requires cooperation with and a fix from the UI framework vendor, or whether it requires a redo by Scaler with new wizardry to bypass the problem, the negative impact on the user experience of the current situation is certainly significant. This is one of those “little things” that really aren’t so little. IOW, it’s the kind of problem we look to software to solve, not create!
Scaler does not allow direct tempo changes via a text box or so, but allows changing the tempo by using a slider in two steps: Slide separately the integer part (1) and then the fractional part:
The precision of the fractional part is limited to the tenths, so 119.35 is not possible, but 119.30 is.
You can equally go up and down just by using the fractional part, but it is slower if you need to set it from 120.00 to 40.60, for example. The two-step setting is much faster in such a case.
In the standalone I don’t think there is any way to get a tempo of xx.35 bpm. Dragging up and down on the “whole number” part of the tempo changes in 1 bpm steps and doing the same on the “fractional” part of the tempo changes in 0.1 bpm steps. So you can have 119.30 or 119.40 but not 119.35.
It would be nice if you could double-click or right-click on it and enter an exact number.
