A little late to the updating game, but I can’t get Scaler 3 to not crash Digital Performer. As soon as it scans the plugin - BOOM! So far it opens fine in Standalone and VEP, but that’s not my workflow. I can’t read a crash report any better than ancient hieroglyphics:

Scaler v1.0.6 crashes in Bitwig Studio 5.3.8 on project startup (macOS Sequoia 15.4.1)
Just a project with Scaler 3 on a MIDI track - I have a chord progression there, I’m using a stock sound in Scaler. When I now open the project, Bitwig reports that the plugin crashed (Bitwig has plugin sandboxing so the DAW doesn’t crash). When I try to reload the plugin, it crashes again. If I deactivate the plugin, there are no crashes - I have also other 3rd party plugins in the project (Toontrack, Arturia, Softube), but the crashes stop when I deactivate Scaler. When I activate it, there’s the crash again.
I did a clean reinstall per instructions from the known issues thread but the problem still persists.
Scaler v1.0.6 crashes in Ableton Live Suite 2.1.11 while selecting chords in Main Track (macOS Sequoia 15.4.1)
Since I need to work on a project I was able to (some extent) recreate my Scaler track in Live from memory (here’s my bug report for the Bitwig Studio plugin crash). Good news is Scaler doesn’t crash on Live startup but unfortunately it does crash while working with it - specifically it crashed while I wanted to move some chords around in the Main Track. Here is a part of the crash report (I also saved the full report if needed):

EDIT: It seems that it only happens while lassoing and not while selecting the chords, I wasn’t able to reproduce that case.

Add and edit some tracks in a template and saved them to an own preset. all fine. On close I get this crash.

I’m sure you guys are still working on this but as an FYI, JC-120 VST still crashes Scaler in version 1.06. Did a clean install and made sure that Roland Cloud Service was updated and running. Works fine in standalone mode, just not in plugin mode. Looking forward to version 1.1 in a couple of weeks.

I tried Scaler 3 1.06 today in Standalone mode, I still get crashes. It seems to be the same problem since first release. Crash file attached as txt. I didn’t try logic and ableton plugin mode, but I assume it will be the same problem.

I’m experiencing issues with ScalerAudio 3 in Ableton Live.
Audio Detection – I’m using ScalerAudio3 (VST3),AU on an audio track in Ableton. The plugin shows incoming audio signal in the meter, but when I press the “Detect Audio” button, it doesn’t detect any chords from the audio playing in the track.
Drag-and-Drop Not Working – I’m also unable to drag and drop audio files into the plugin. The UI doesn’t respond, and the drop zone doesn’t appear.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Verified that I’m using ScalerAudio3, not the instrument version.
Ensured audio material is harmonic vocal, pad etc
Resized the plugin window to reveal the drop zone.
Attempted drag/drop from both Finder and Ableton browser.
Confirmed the plugin version is up to date.
Tried routing audio directly and through a dedicated track.
Confirmed input signal is showing in Scaler’s mixer.
System Info:
OS:sequoia 15.2
DAW: Ableton Live 12.1.11
Scaler Version: 3.
Plugin Format: VST3 scaler, AU scaler 3
Please let me know if there’s a known issue or additional steps I can try.

Hi @Avit Welcome to the forum. There’s an issue with Audio Detection in 3 1.0.6 on Mac. Being resolved now and a fix is due in a week or two. See [this thread].(Audio Detection Not Working on Mac 1.0.6 - #9 by davide)
Also Drag and Drop Audio and MIDI onto the UI is coming too. Stay tuned.
